Celebration and Giveaway

How Could This Happen has maintained a top 100 position on Amazon for the last week. In addition to that it has been voted one of Amazon's Hot New Releases. I couldn't be more thrilled with its success. In writing How Could This Happen I wanted to create an extension of myself. There are just not enough hours in the day to do everything I want to do. Or help those that I wish to help.

Propellers of Tragedy

Propellers 

I was amazed when I heard the story of Lauren Scruggs. (She’s the model in Texas who was hit by a spinning airplane propeller.) According to the reports I heard, it hit her in the head (she may or may not lose an eye), cut off her hand, cut into her shoulder and left her lucky to be alive. 


Can you imagine? You go flying over Texas to look at some Christmas lights, you get off the plane, go back to thank the pilot for the ride, and get struck by a spinning propeller! 

What Was Lost Is Now Found

That old TV show “Kids Say The Darndest Things” used to crack me up (and no… I am not old enough to know the Art Linkletter version – just the Bill Cosby remake of it!). Kids do say the darndest things.


 And every now and again, they say something profound. Such was the case with my son, Cody, the other day. So, awhile back, we got our kids phones to carry on them in case of emergency. In this day and age, it just seemed like the smart thing to do. They were nothing fancy, just capable enough to make a call or send a limited text message.

Goal Finally Reached

You know that feeling you get when a long-awaited goal is finally achieved?

Whew…

For the last 18 months, I dedicated most of my free time to pursue the writing of a book.
